Inspiration

Writing a story is like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. But without the box top. You start with lots of pieces, then ask yourself which one goes where? How do I make this jumble of pieces into a story?

The first piece for this book started with a joke my mother used to play on her granddaughters. They’d all pile into the back seat of the car, then she’d ask if they had enough room. The girls would say yes. Then with a wink, my mother would say, “Well, then move over!” and would give them a playful push. The back seat passengers would burst out in giggles.

Mooove over!
